Itineraries

This gem of a city, strung around the sparkling southern shores of Europe's largest Alpine lake, is Switzerland's third-largest city.
Known as the “capital of peace”, Geneva is a world centre for diplomacy and humanitarian traditions: the UN, International Red Cross, the World Health Organization and 200 other governmental and nongovernmental international organizations.
People conversing in different languages emphasize Geneva’s cosmopolitan atmosphere. The city’s quality of life is considered to be one of the highest in the world. Geneva is loaded with banks, four- and five-star hotels with celebrity guests, luxury jewelers, chocolate shops and manicured city parks. There is also incredibly varied international cuisine that meets every demand.
But Geneva is also a centre of culture (the Grand Théâtre, Opera House, the “Musée international de l'horlogerie” and the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent) and history (traces of Julius Caesar’s conquest of Gaul and shadows of Calvin and the Protestant Reformation).
